Lindsay and Moira Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent over three decades refining the acclaimed STOTT PILATES® method of exercise. The refined method resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation - making it one of the safest and most effective methods available. STOTT PILATES® is recognized as a leader in Pilates programming by studios, fitness facilities, fitness professionals and the consumer market worldwide.

Matwork classes are performed on the STOTT PILATES® ReformerMachines using mat converters.
Classes offered cater for different levels and abilities from Essential to Advanced.
All additional equipment you may need is provided.

Pilates Reformer classes are performed on STOTT PILATES® Reformer Machines.
We offer introductory classes to anyone who hasn't used a Reformer before and would like to learn the Basic Principles in advance of joining a class.
Classes include Essential, Intermediate and Advanced, catering for various levels of experience and ability.

STOTT PILATES® Essential classes areLevel One sessions designed for beginners or those returning to Pilates. These classes focus on core stability, posture, breathing, and proper alignment while introducing the fundamental principles of STOTT PILATES®. You’ll build strength, flexibility, and body awareness in a supportive, easy-to-follow environment.
STOTT PILATES® Essential/Intermediate classes are Level Two sessions designed for those who understand the fundamentals and are ready to progress. These classes build on core stability, alignment, and breathing principles while introducing more challenging exercises to enhance strength, endurance, flexibility, and control in a supportive, focused environment.
STOTT PILATES® Intermediate/Advanced classes are Level Three sessions designed for experienced clients who are confident with the fundamentals and ready for a greater challenge. These dynamic classes build on core stability, precision, and control while incorporating more complex, strength-focused and endurance-based exercises. Expect a faster pace, deeper muscular work, and refined technique in a motivating and supportive environment.
At Body In Sync, we understand that it is difficult to find a style of Yoga that resonates with you. We offer Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Meditation.
Hatha Yoga classes will typically involve a set of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques. These are typically practised more slowly and with more static posture holds than another more flowing or vigorous classes. This is how we describe our Hatha yoga classes.
Yin Yoga is a quiet contemplative practice. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is in contrast to a more vigorous yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga.
Yoga Nidra means yogic or psychic sleep. It is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, induced by a guided meditation. It is said that the history of Yoga Nidra is as old as Yoga itself, as it is mentioned as early as the Upanishads. In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna is associated with Yoga Nidra.

We offer Private sessions for individuals and groups of up to seven people.
Private One-to-One and Semi Private sessions are conducted with full access to the studio.
Following an assessment and discussion about each individuals requirements and goals, the sessions will be tailored to suit the needs of each client.
