Rob (our founder/co-owner) is a highly qualified fitness professional with over 35 yrs experience

His military background is reflected in his disciplined approach to health and fitness, which began with instruction for aerobics, circuits, step and body conditioning classes in his native South Africa.

His fitness journey continued when he moved to the US and began training with STOTT PILATES® in 2000. Keen to enhance his understanding and knowledge of how other modalities could be beneficial to his Pilates teaching, he became certified in Yoga, Esalen Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy and WATSU (water based Shiatsu). This culminated in Rob opening “Body in Sync”, his own Pilates studio in Winthrop, Massachusetts which he built successfully over the next 11 years.

In 2011 Rob moved to the UK where his Pilates training journey continued and resulted in his appointment as a certified Instructor Trainer for Merrithew Health & Fitness, specialising in STOTT PILATES®.
